Audiance Recording

This was my first recording with my new Core Sound Binaural microphones.
They have a very high fidelity, especially in the low ends.
What I overlooked was their extreme sensitivity,comparing to my good old
ECM-717... With the recording level of the minidisc device set to automatic,
it resulted in heavy compression when the infrabasses were prominent, with
a few miliseconds release and the lowering of the overall signal... 
So thanks God no distortion, but still annoying drops in apparent volumes 
of the mediums and trebles during the loudest low passages, especially 
during the first half hour of the show.

Thanks to my nice little home studio, I have been able to drastically reduce
this problem. Here is what I have done to the original recording:

1. With WAVES L3 MULTIMAXIMISER,lowered -4db@96Hz, +1.5db@331Hz, +4.3db@1782Hz
and +2.5@14'800Hz. It gave back some of the clarity in passages where 
mediums and trebles were too reduced because of the infras.

2. With WAVES C1 COMPRESSOR, restored the dynamic by compressing 4.5:1 at -6db
and outputting at + 6db

3. with TC Parametric EQ, +3db @ 110Hz to attenuate the feeling of
discontinuity between the very low ends and the normal basses.

So these really really improved the overall feeling, but the drops are still
noticable and will annoy a few people for sure, especially during the first
half hour. Apart from that (oh! And missing the very end of IKWIL because of
minidisc change), it is IMO a very good and clear audiance recording and
definitely an enjoyable listen that will help you wait for the Encores series
of themusic.com. The first CD is track 1 to 17.
